Sunray Sportswear

Sunray Sportswear is commissioned by British designer couple Colin and Emma and manufactured by a nearly century-old family business spanning three generations in Japan. Utilizing antique-style hanging circular looms, the fabric is woven slowly with minimal tension, averaging 1.5 hours to produce each plain T-shirt. After sewing, it undergoes dyeing using the pigment techniques of Kyoto master craftsman Kitada, followed by an eight-hour wash to remove shrinkage, achieving the designer's perfect fit that is stable and resistant to deformation. With use, the colors will develop a warm and gentle aging effect. The thick, skin-friendly feel faithfully embodies the brand's ideal of 'Quality over Quantity,' allowing wearers to experience the beauty of high quality every day.
